Exchange students from overseas will needs to know is some things. we will tell you about KGU. First is what we can use a library of KGU. Second is whatwe can use a bus of KGU. Next is about English Lounge. Next is about a bakery of KGU. Next is about students’ dining hall. Last is about Lawsonin KGU.

First of all, we will explain about library. There is a big Library in KGU, and the library has a various of books. The library is very very very comfortable. we always go to there to do my homework. When you want to study or read books or do your homework alone or need research , you should come to there! There are many data as newspapers and books and computers and so on. Anyone else there is fashion magazines renew every month, so we can read many fashion magazines. You can read it, and you can know Japanese fashion style. The other thing, there is AV corner in he library. There are many DVDs there. You can see a lot of movies in AV corner. Another one, there are newspapers of many countries there. You can read it of your own country, and you can get a lot of information around the world. we suggest to go there one time, and to read comics. There are many Japanese comics, and it is translated English. So, you can read easily and interesting. My favorite comic is ONEPIECE. It is very nice Japanese comic!! If you are free, you should read it. You will be able to concentrate and live a full time in there. By the way, you might be able to work there as a part-time job. we saw anotice of advertisement for part-time help to our student. First of all, please go to the library in KGU. You will be sure to be addicted toread it.


Next, you all can use a bus of KGU. This bus is servicing to KGU from Kumamoto Station. A purpose of this system is what KGU serve convenience for a day student. If it were difficult for you to go school by only yourself, you can use a bus of KGU. And you can go school easily! x) Please be sure to use when you go to school. :)

Next, we tell you about facility of exchange students. There is "English Lounge" at KGU. It place is for exchange student. There is the first floor of building No.1. It is the place what exchange students mix well with Japanese students. Lounge staff often held party for exchange students. It is very interesting. You will be able to make a lot of friends. If you go there, you will have chance to make many friends. And we can enjoy conversation, discussion and so on at English Lounge. And we can chat and eat snacks there. Moreover, we can have a party, game and so on. For example, Halloween party is planned in November, Christmas party is planned in December and the staff held BBQ and tour of Kumamoto Castle and so on. It will be interesting. English Lounge is the place of intercultural exchange. And you will be able to know about Kumamoto more. It is nice chance for exchange students. Open hours is 9:30 to 17:30. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is opening. Whoever is  college persons can make use of English Lounge. For example, student, the staff of KGU  etc) English Lounge is surely funny place. Please go to and enjoy there. You will be able to spend a full time.


Next,we are going to introduce about bakery in KGU. The clerks of bakery bake a lot of kind breads at any time. They bake everyday, so the breadsare very very very delicious. There are many kinds of bread which is what we can eat  as a meal or tea and snack, some drinks and soft ice cream. Incidentally. There are about twenty seats. There are a lot of students and teachers and general people and child attending kindergarten at noon. So, we have to come to there a little earlier than usual. Or else, popular breads are often sell out and we can’t plop down into seats. Sometimes, they bake new breads there. we are looking forward to eating new breads. we are going to introduce my favorite breads. They are “Chicken Nanban Bread” and “Mentai Egg Bread” and “Cocoa Roll”, “Blueberry Cheese Pie”.  Other one, we like a strawberry juice which sell at the bakery. If you want to eat breads fresh from theoven, you should go there and eat breads. Let's enjoy a lunch there.

We are going to introduce about students’ dining hall in KGU. There is very broad. But there are a lot of students and teachers at noon. My recommendation menus are “Bibinba Don” and “Meat Udon” and “curry and rice”,”Chanpon”. And, all menus are very cheap. Price is about three to eat in foreign countries. First of all, please go to and eat at students’ dining hall in KGU.



 



Last of all, we will tell you about Lawson in KGU. Lawson is very famous convenience store. The store sell various thing. For example, foods, drinks, magazine and stationery. We can get a meal, tea or snack and drinks at Lawson. Kind of food is rice dish, noodle or instant noodle, sandwich, salad, and so on. We can have hot to eat and cold to eat in here. Kind of tea or snack is cake, pudding, ice cream, chocolate, chipsand so on. there are our lunch and snacks. There are a lot of goods at LOWSON. We can buy many goods cheaper. So, we often use there. The store is so useful for us. I want you use  this convenience store.



what we would like to tell you is KGU has many convenient and useful places.we told you about a bus of KGU, English Lounge, Bakery, students’ dining hall and Lawson. Those is interesting and kind places for exchange students. And we can use them freely. So, you shoud be active. Be active, and you can make many friends and enjoy university life at KGU. we want you use many places and enjoy university life together and we wish this information is useful for you. BR: 1-19 THOMAS EDISON

No one had ever done anything like that before! (p. 9)

This time, I read the book about Thomas Edison. Everyone knows about him who invented the electric light, sound recording and moving pictures. I’m going to introduce his career. He worked various job. When he was 12 years old, his first job was selling newspaper on trains. Next when he was 14 years old, he began his own newspaper. No one had ever done anything like that before. I thought that no one had ever done anything like that before was very wonderful. And when he was 16 years old, he started working as a telegrapher. He became deaf when he was a child. I haven’t ever known the fact. But many people say that being deaf helped to make him a good inventor. In 1872, he set up his own big laboratory. He invented various inventions in there. And I thought that his inventions saved by the grace of his many experiences when he was a child. The book told me important thing. I should do a lot of experiences that a part-time job, volunteer activity and so on. It’s important study for me. I would like to challenge various things regardless of fear.

BR:1-18 The United Nations

The United Nations Charter says that all peace-loving states or countries can become members as long as they respect the decisions of the United Nations. (p. 6)

This time, I read the book about the United Nations. In the fact, I don’t know about it in detail. And I don’t know that the United Nations logo is a map of the world with olive branches around it. Olive branches are a sign of peace. Did you know the fact? Today, 191 countries belong to the United Nations. Outside the United Nation’s head office are the flag of every member’s country. The first flag is Afganistan and the last flag is Zimbabwe. The United Nations was formed after World War Two. The events of World War Two were terrible for many countries and no one wanted to have another war like it. Japan has to not forget and not cause another war like it too. And the United Nations would help to stop another big war since then. Moreover, the United Nations does a lot of different things for people around the world. For example, the United Nations helps to feed people who have little food and helps to educate people in places where there are no schools. And I haven’t ever known that it sends peacekeepers to countries where there has been fighting. In this way the United Nations always fulfill a lot of important parts around the world and a lot of people need to a lot of various helps.

BR:1-17 The Clowns With Frowns Parade

All the clowns have frowns painted on their faces today. (p.14)

This time, I read the book about clowns. I read it because the picture of this book was very cute. Clown is “Piero” in Japanese. Have you ever seen it at parade and circus? Maybe, I have seen clowns. Almost of them have sad faces. Some clowns have funny faces. When I looked them for the first time, I was very afraid of them. It was when I was in the elementary school. Have you thought so too? Didn’t you cry to look them? Maybe, I cried. But I think that they are very wonderful as they have various skills. Why so big tall? Why can the clown ride on the wheel bike with one wheel? Their skills are the result of effort. They announce very wonderful skills to please a large audience. It’s very wonderful job.

BR:1-16 Carla Crocodile's Knitting

“ I like snacks just like this. “ (p. 16)

The book made me warmed. A crocodile called Carla is interested in knitting. And she gives Carla’s friend called Charlie various knitting. She is very gentle and clever with her fingers. I have never knitted something. And I’m hard for me to small work like knitting and sewing because I’m not clever with my fingers. But I wanted to knit something after I read this book. Because one is that the picture was very cute in this book, the other is that I want various pleasures. I wanted to knit cute knitting like Carla. Moreover, I wanted to do needlework and redecorate my room. I want to live my life like a girl. I think that Carla live her life like a girl. And I don’t have any pleasures so I’m going to find them.

BR:1-15 ARTHUR AND THE SCHOOL PET

“ Does he think he’s a ballerina? “ laughed Arthur. (p. 14)

It’s a very cute story that students struggle for gerbil called “Speedy” of the school pet. One student takes him home for Christmas vacation. She plays with him and tries to teach him to stand on one paw like a ballerina. On Christmas Eve, she puts his cage under the tree as she thinks that Santa will bring a present for him.

But the next morning, his cage is empty and he is gone. They come running and search for him. Just then, she looks up at the tree and he is on the top of the tree. He is eating a piece of cheese and standing on one paw like a ballerina. Somehow he gets out of his cage three more times.

When I was in the elementary school, I had a hamster the name was Chibi and maybe female. A kind of her is very gentle. But she was very quick. So, I and my mother sometimes struggled for Chibi as she ran away quickly. However, she was very cute and I was very good to her. This book made me remember on old episode. Humans should make much of animals regardless of pets. A lot of animals are becoming extinct or on the verge of extinction. We have to live and let live with animals and plants…

BR:1-14 The Little Mermaid

She does not answer, she looks at the ships. (P.14)

This book is different from that we know “The Little Mermaid” of Disney story. But this book’s story is same until the middle. It isn’t a story with a happy end. Disney story we know a little mermaid becomes a human and get married to a man. But the actual situation leaves little room for optimism. She gets a drug from the sea monster to get logs and she drinks it. She swims to the sand and has legs. She speaks to the young man. She likes him, but he likes another girl. Finally, she returns to the sea and she is a mermaid again. It’s pathetic story. I was disappointed because I was in expectation of a story with a happy end. I felt like that I was disappointed in live. I’m not fallen in love now. I would like to be in happy love. Everybody will want to be in happy love. But all people can be disappointed in love. I often hear that disappointed love makes people grow up. Useless things aren’t surely exist. So, I would like to be fallen in love as hard as I could at any time. In that case, I believe in that I will be able to fallen in love and get married to a man I like very much.

BR:1-13 SPORTS CLOTHES

These fabrics help sports people feel more comfortable when playing sports. (P.4)

I haven’t ever paid attention to sports clothes. To tell the truth, I’m not interested in them. However I could learn about that sports clothes’ history in detail. Long ago, clothes were made from natural fabrics, like wood and cotton. I thought that sports players were very hot and wet. When they got hot, sports clothes surely stick to sports player’s body and difficult to play. Old sports clothes could get behind in games. Over time, people started making new fabrics that are called synthetics. They are not made from natural things, like plants and animals. Sports players were greatly influenced by them. For example, people swim in synthetic fabrics that are very light. These fabrics can stretch well and dry quickly. Consequently, swimmers’ time would surely shrink. I haven’t ever paid attention to sports clothes. But results will be controlled by them. I could think I should abroad outlook on life what I have ever paid attention. If so, I will be able to discover various new things.

Today, fabrics are made from a mix of different things. Synthetics can be mixed with cotton or wool to make them last. In other words, mix of that old things and new things can make better thing. I would like to have incorporated the idea in my life. And sports clothes are now made with fabrics that make them very comfortable. Lots of people put sports clothes on even when they are not playing a sport.

BR:1-12 Travelling Around

There are good points and bad points about all these kinds of transport. (P.5)

This time, I read a book about transportation. How do you go to school from your house every day? Traveling on a bus? Traveling by a train? Driving by a car? Walking? Riding bikes? I use a bus every day. Buses are good as it costs less money to travel on a bus than it costs to run a car. But buses are fearful for me. Because a lot of traffic accidents by them recently. And sometimes I oversleep on a bus and arrive at school. The other day, I overslept on a bus and went off it on “Kumamoto Prefectual Agency”.  I was in very hurry and panic.

And sometimes I walk for my health and diet. Walking is very good exercise, like riding a bike. It doesn’t cost anything to walk. I have walked from the university to my house. It took two hours and thirty minutes. But I could not lose my weight.

I have a difficult problem about transportation. I can not get on a train and the Shinkansen and an airplane alone. I can get on with my friends and family. Because I don’t know how to ride them and the place where I ride.

So, I respect people who can ride around various transportation. I would like to be such a person soon. First of all, I want to ride a train to “Hikarinomori”. I want to ride it with a pounding heart. And I would like to live in Kyoto and ride around various transportation in the future.

I want to live outside the prefecture~~~~!

This time, I’m going to write about Japan’s prefecture where I want to live in the future. Fukuoka or Hyogo or Kyoto or Nara is where I want to live in the future. First of all, I would like to go out from Kumamoto after I graduate from the university.

About Fukuoka Prefecture. Because there is the most urbanization in Kyushu and next to Kumamoto. So, I can return to the place where I grew up at any time. Maybe I will not become homesick.

About Hyogo Prefecture. There is especially no reason. But I would like to live in Kobe in Kyoto as there is very urban and fashionable.

About Kyoto Prefecture. I have been to there as a trip with my grandmother and cousin. Then, I went to worship at a lot of temples. “Byoudouin Hououdou” is the most impressive for me. The temple is painted on 10 yen coin. A genuine temple was different from my image and disappointed bit. But a lot of decorative arts still were beautiful and wonderful. I felt history while I was in Kyoto. Kyoto is very wonderful place where matches urban and classic. The Kyoto station was very big and beautiful and has a lot of shops. Prices are very high in Kyoto but I think that it’s easy to live. I like dignified streets of there.

About Nara Prefecture. There are a lot of temples too. And I think that it’s easy to live too. I like old-fashioned building and old scenery as I can become composed.

But I know that Kumamoto Prefecture is very wonderful and easy to live. However, I would like to live more urban city and change myself.

If I live outside the prefecture after I graduate from the university, please go on a trip to my house.

I want to go on a trip~~~~~~!

This time, I’m going to write about foreign countries. Britain and Germany and Norway are that I would like to go on a trip. Because Britain has fashionable image for me. All the British look beautiful for me. I have a longing for a white man (woman). If I was born again, I would like to be a white woman and born on somewhere in Europe. Why, I would like to speak English fluently.

  

About Germany. I want to eat genuine sausage and German snacks. German snacks look very delicious when I watched on the television program. All European snacks look delicious. And I want to drink Germany Beer. But if I live somewhere in Europe, I will certainly grow fat.

About Norway. I would like to see an aurora. An aurora is seen both Norway and Canada. But I would like to see it in Norway. Because I have been a longing for there since I was in the elementary school. There is specially no reason. I would like to go on a trip the place where has beautiful nature for the present. Especially, I would like to go to various places of a world heritage. If I save plenty of money and grow up, I would like to various countries.

BR:1-11 HEATING UP

In the next 100 years, it may go up by as much as six degrees. (p.4)

This time, I read the nook about global warming. Global warming is becoming more serious than I have ever thought it. Because scientists say the seas could rise by another 100 centimeters in the next ten years. And in the next 100 years, it may go up by as much as six degrees. Maybe humans don’t really feel. I don’t really feel too. But this means that there could be a lot of hot, dry weather, followed by heavy rain and extreme storms. And it could also kill a lot of plans and animals like this. People should know the facts and have a sense of impending crisis more. Next, people should take action to protect Earth at home. I’m going to take action an easy way! Buy things that use less energy. Try to use less energy at home. Drive car less-ride a bike, walk or car pool. First, I’m going to take action an easy way. If I don’t drive car and walk, it will be linked to my diet. Try to protect Earth we’re living! And leave future generations to beautiful nature.
